TODDLERS AND TIARAS

I just want to know…what is SO wrong with toddlers and tiaras??? If the child wants to participate then why is it an issue? I agree with the fact that it’s wrong if the parent forces the child in pageants, but if the child LIKES to dress up and prance around the stage then why is there a problem? Why are so many people freaking out about it? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it and don’t put your children in pageants. Coming from someone who has been in pageants their entire life, contrary to popular belief, pageants aren’t rigged and they actually are fun to some girls. Why does everyone have to criticize the show when MOST of those kids seem content doing it? “Oh the parents force them to wear make up and fake teeth and they force them to practice!” First of all, there are such things as natural pageants and depending on which types of pageants the child enjoys there is criteria, just like if your child is on a soccer team, they must have the proper equipment in order to play. They also must go to practice in order to be better and in order to play in the game. Practicing with pageants and wearing all of the glitz and glam is the same thing it’s just a bit different. So with all this being said STOP trashing Toddlers and Tiaras, it’s actually a pretty funny show. Kay thanks (:
